Spotlight on Grand Turk - Jack's Shack

Walk 500 meters down the beach from the cruise terminal and follow the crew away from the crowds for a real island experience. Catch the Grand Turk flavor on our deck overlooking a clean sandy beach.

Your hosts are Jack and Janet, along with their singing chef Leroy, who is the consummate Caribbean chef.  Leroy is a hard driving worker who learned his skills in the tourist industry of Montego Bay, Jamaica. Too make ends meet, he had to wear lots of caps, chef's toque during the day, rasta DJ and cabaret singer at night.

Leroy has brought his recipes for chicken and fish to our small island from Mobay. He takes his Jamaican spices and mixes them 'putting his foot into it' to get them just right. Jerk chicken smells bring in the crowds and the spicy steamed conch, fish stews, and peas and rice round out the local menu items.

Leroy and guests man the barbeque serving half pound burgers and cheeseburgers, hot dogs and Italian sausages. In season, lobster salad and other salads are available.

Relax in the shade while you savor the sounds and smells of of true island music and cuisine. The crystal clear waters will entice you to discover the exciting underwater world.

Don't miss daily sightings of "Spotty" the famous 7 foot wing span spotted eagle ray. Water sports gear is available to enhance your swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and sun tanning experience.
Full resort facilities include FREE Internet access.  Also available are lounge chairs, floats, beach umbrellas, volleyball gear, showers, restrooms, storage lockers, diving gift shop and lots of local knowledge for your enjoyment of the island.

  1. Jack's is a great place to spend a couple of hours. We like to sit up on the deck at a table near the bar under an umbrella and enjoy some beverages and some wings.Very relaxing atmosphere away from the crowds at Margaritaville. Just a side note the beach loungers and umbrellas are not FREE.
